Support for the victims in Gaza
IF Metall donates 50 000 sek to support the victims in Gaza. The money will go to food and medicine.
IF Metall condemned both the Israeli invasion of Gaza as rocket shelling of Israel from Gaza, which caused civilian casualties on both sides. The Israeli response to rocket fire are lacking, however, all proportionality and Israel bears a heavy responsibility for the civilian suffering, according to a statement from the federation.
IF Metall protest against the rising violence. The union is supporting the International Trade Union Confederation’s call for humanitarian aid to Gaza. It is first and foremost support for food and medicine but will also for the reconstruction of a functioning society in Gaza.
The sum IF Metall donate goes to the Labor Solidarity Fund collection in support of the victims in Gaza.
