Handels, The Commercial Employees´ Union, is Sweden’s third-largest blue-collar union, with some 149 400 members. Women make up over 70 % of our membership. has become the first Swedish LO union signed contracts with the company Enter Card on collaboration in the future membership. In addition to the card is loaded with benefits and discounts aimed at Trade members will eventually also be offered the opportunity to use the card as payment cards. The new membership card is distributed to members of Trade after the summer 2009.
Trade want with the new membership card to make it even more clear to members the benefits which membership provides. It has been important in the production of the membership card to the new services can only be linked to membership of Trade, which gives a particular value for the member. This is fully in line with Trade efforts to improve membership and bring more elements of the member benefits of membership. The discounts give members opportunities to try different things.
Until the new membership card will also be linked able to use it as a debit card.
– Trade has for a long time been driving the issue of ensuring butiksrån as a work issue. As part of an effort to improve members’ working environment has Trade lift requirements for a restriction on the use of cash in the store. – In Sweden, the first of Trade Unions to be able to offer its members this type of membership. In the other Nordic countries are similar solutions already in some places. Trade counterpart in Finland recently signed a similar agreement with Enter Card, and both the Danish and Norwegian LO has already introduced a membership card. We therefore hope that in future we can associate not only English but also Nordic benefits to the card, ”said Susanna Gideon.
